TRADE REPORT EOD 18/4/2012


  • The Indices started with a gap up but then faded away late in the session to close near the lows of the day at 17392.39 (up 0.2%) for the BSE SENSEX and at 5300 (up 0.19%) for the NSE NIFTY.
  • The broader markets did a tad better than the frontline Indices with the ADVANCE-DECLINES ratio at 1625 to 1251 for the BSE stocks.

  • On the BSE, the prominent VOLUME GAINERS were TORRENT PHARMA (124 times 2- wk avg.), UTTAM GALVA ( 76 times), KVB (22 times), HCL TECH (15 times), GMR INFRA (7 times), GVK POWER (4 times).
  • On the NSE, the top traded counters by turnover, were INFY, TATA MOTORS, SBI, ICICI BANK, HCL TECH.
  • DELIVERY VOUMES on these counters were INFY (67%), TATA MOTORS (53%), SBI ( 17%), ICICI BANK (50%), HCL TECH (43%)
  • On the NSE, the top traded counters, by traded quantity, were GVK, RENUKA, HDIL, LANCO, IVRCL in that order.
  • DELIVERY VOLUMES on these counters were GVK (25%), RENUKA (29%), HDIL (17%), LANCO (29%), IVRCL (34%).
  • Prominent BULK DEALS on the NSE: NARENDRA MURKUMBI sold 24400000 shares at 33.25 and AGRI VENTURE TRADING AND INVEST bought the same quantity.
  • Both FIIs and DIIs were NET BUYERS with details as follows:
