TRADE REPORT EOD 19/4/2012



  • The Markets closed near the high points of the day on the back of a late surge. The BSE SENSEX closed at 17503.71 (up 0.64%) and the NSE NIFTY closed at 5332.4 (up 0.61%).
  • The broader markets were split down the middle with ADVANCES to DECLINES at 1492 to 1364 on the BSE.
  • The BSE Sectoral Indices closed as follows with the AUTO INDEX making new highs.

  • The prominent VOLUME GAINERS on the BSE were HONEYWELL AUTO (12 times 2 wk avg.), PAGE INDUSTRIES (9 times), INDUS IND (7 times), HDFC BANK (3 times), TATA GLOBAL BEV (3 times).
  • The prominent BULK DEALS on the BSE were : ANTIQUE STOCKBROKING bought 222802 of SML ISUZU at 410; AXIS MUTUAL FUND bought 150000 OF SML ISUZU at 410; RELIANCE LIFE INSURANCE bought 1000000 of SML ISUZU at 410.
  • The top traded counters on the NSE, by turnover, were INFY, TATA MOTORS, SBI, RIL, IGL in that order.
  • The DELIVERY VOLUMES for these were INFY (58%), TATA MOTORS (35%), SBI (19%), RIL (65%), IGL (11%).
  • The top traded counters on the NSE, by traded quantity, were KFA, IVRCL, LANCO, GVK, KS OILS.
  • The DELIVERY VOLUMES for these were KFA (23%), IVRCL (24%), LANCO (28%), GVK POWER (19%), KS OILS (31%).
