CHERRY PICKING TIME, FOLKS!!

All investors are aware of the ' greed and fear syndrome' which has been much bandied about in Market circles, analysts' Reports and as catch phrases by iconic investors. Simply put, it implies that Investors, at the top end of  roaring Bull Markets are so besotted by greed that they continue adding long positions even at fancy valuations; while at the lower end are so traumatised by fear that they refuse to loosen their pursestrings even at dirt cheap valuations for the same scrips. Either way, the catch phrase aptly describes what makes most investors chase prices indiscriminately and more often than not , shun fair value.

In this backdrop, we have to try and overcome the fear of investing in truly down phases, such as the one we increasingly seem to be going through now. Of course, this also does not imply that we rush in, all guns blazing and exhaust our investible surplus in one mean swoop, only to find the Markets correcting another 5-10%. What it does mean is, that we choose our target Stocks and keep nibbling away on all down days to get a final portfolio that would yield good returns over the long term. In this context, I thought it worthwhile to briefly summarise some of the Stocks and possible price points that we have discussed earlier:

  6. Even fundamentally strong scripts go southwards
    in the politically weak scenerio.
Example if Mr Chidambaram is questioned by CBI in connection with spectrum share price will nosedive.
Investing in shares have become a risky game
in view of uncertain political situation .
