TRADE REPORT EOD 13/4/2012

• Well, just as one thought that we were seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, the Markets chose to play spoilsport and closed almost at the lows of the day. The BSE SENSEX closed at 17094.52 (down 1.37%) and the NSE NIFTY closed at 5207.45 (down 1.32%), aided in no small measure by the INFY howler as well as a resurgence of the European blues!!!
• On the BSE, 1236 stocks ADVANCED whereas 1567 DECLINED. The Sectoral Indices closed as follows with the TECH and IT indices taking it on the chin:

• The top traded counters on the NSE, by traded quantity, were KFA, IVRCL, JPA, HDIL, SUZLON in that order.
• DELIVERY VOLUMES on these were KFA (20%), IVRCL (25%), JPA( 21%), HDIL (22%), SUZLON (21%).
• Prominent bulk deals on the NSE were MERRILL LYNCH CAPITAL MARKETS ESPANA SA bought 1600000 Shares of IVRCL at 73.97.

• Prominent new 52 wk highs on the NSE were ABBOTT, BATA, BLUE DART, HEXAWARE, HUL, INDUSIND, ITC, LUPIN, SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC, TTK PRESTIGE.
