TRADE REPORT EOD 9/5/2012




    • The Markets continue to pummell investors. The BSE SENSEX closed the day at 16479.68 (down 0.4%) and the NSE NIFTY closed at 4974.8 (down 0.5%)
    • The real damage was in the broader Markets with the ADVANCE DECLINE ratio at an abysmal 936 to 1796.
    • The BSE Sectoral Indices closed as follows with the damage in the rate sensitives clearly evident:

    • The top traded counters on the NSE, by turnover were SBI (down 0.38% DELIVERY VOLUMES 16%),  ITC (up 4.5%, DELIVERY VOLUMES 67%), ICICI BANK (down 1.35%, DV 40%), TCS (up 2.64% DV 78%), APOLLO HOSP (up 2.05%, DV 50%) 
    • The top traded counters on the NSE by traded quantity, were LANCO (up 1.54%, DELIVERY VOLUMES 13%), JPA (down 2.58%, DV 29%), HDIL (down 3.87%, DV 17%), MANNAPURAM (down 10.7%, DV 49%),  ITC (up 4.5%, DV 67%)
    • Clearly the stars today were ITC and TCS both up on relatively huge DELIVERY VOLUMES
    • Some of the prominent stocks that hit ALL TIME HIGHS on the BSE today were TORRENT PHARMA, BOSCH, ASIAN PAINTS, STRIDES ARCO
    • Some of the prominent stocks that hit ALL TIME LOWS on the BSE today were KOUTONS, ADANI POWER, ARSS INFRA, RAMKY INFRA.
    • FIIs were NET SELLERS today (Rs -376 crores) and DIIs were NET BUYERS today (Rs 162 crores)
